Loislaw.Com Announces Diversity Scholarship At The University Of Arkansas School Of Law

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Loislaw.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: LOIS), which provides lawyers, judges, law students, corporate legal departments and consumers with legal research materials via a Web browser, today announced the establishment of the Loislaw.com Scholarship for minority students at the University of Arkansas School of Law.

"I am extremely pleased that one of Arkansas' home grown companies is dedicating itself to providing opportunities to minority students here at the University of Arkansas," said University of Arkansas School of Law Dean Robert B. Moberly.

"Loislaw.com is very proud to have this opportunity to return to our community just a small portion of the value that the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, has given to us and the state of Arkansas," said Sam Sexton III, Loislaw.com’s General Counsel. "A number of our employees are graduates of this law school including myself. This is an honor for me personally to return to the law school from which I graduated and have the opportunity to announce this scholarship and our support of this fine institution."

Loislaw.com has historically targeted the solo practitioners and small law firms. A result of this, Loislaw.com has a large number of minority attorneys as customers. Loislaw.com believes that its product is a both a good value and affordable to attorneys, especially smaller and minority firms that frequently contribute to their own communities by providing pro bono services.

Sexton added, "I would also be remiss if I did not point out that due to our customer base being the small to mid-size firms, we have a disproportionate number of minority attorneys as customers. We at Loislaw.com look at this as small thank you to them as well."
