MANAGER OF DEVELOMENT COMMUNICATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS TO BE DIXIE TERRELL KLINE

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Dixie Terrell Kline will become the manager of development communications for the University of Arkansas office of University Relations, effective Monday June 14.

In this position, Kline will provide total public relations and communications support for the University’s fundraising program.

"She brings high competence, experience, maturity, creativity and drive to the position," said Roger Williams, associate vice chancellor for University Relations. "Her varied experience will serve her perfectly in her new role with us."

Most recently, Kline spent nine years working in communications for ALLTEL Information Services in Little Rock.

While there, she gained experience in developing communications plans, working with trade media and local publications, researching, writing and producing marketing communications, developing editorial plans, writing internal and external newsletters, researching and writing detailed marketing research reports, developing content for the Internet, Intranet and Extranet, managing the details of customer and internal conferences, and preparing marketing presentation scripts and speeches.

She has additional experience as a marketing coordinator for McClelland Consulting Engineers in Little Rock and as advertising manager for Mathews International Bronze Division in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Kline has a B.S. in business administration (marketing) from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
