Mann School Nursing Students Inducted Into Honor Society

Fayetteville, Ark. - Sixteen senior nursing students from the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society, through the Pi Theta Chapter of the University of Arkansas.

Students Krystal Bennett, Jennifer Giffen, Kristi Ferguson, Lyndsay Crumby, Jennifer Belchar, Valerie Beavers, Jessica Dorn, Laura Ferrier, Kellie Murphy, Eleanor Johnson, Rebecca Luther, Pam McMasters, Polly Day, Julie Spears, Brandi Morris and Melissa Stewart were honored at an induction ceremony at the University of Arkansas. Guest speaker for the ceremony was Jane Allen, a regional coordinator for the international honor society.

Sigma Theta Tau International is one of the largest international nursing organizations and works worldwide to improve health care. The honor society promotes nursing excellence through research, leadership, an electronic library, programs and publications. Membership is by invitation to graduate and undergraduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurses with exceptional achievements in nursing.
