MCA EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT WALTON COLLEGE

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — As part of the series, "The Business of Music," a joint effort between the Sam M. Walton College of Business and the Department of Music at the University of Arkansas, Mark Wright, senior vice president of A & R for MCA Records, Nashville, Tenn., will speak on Sunday, November 11, at 3:00 p.m.

The Speaker:

Wright has to his credit more than 25 million units in sales and over 40 #1 singles that he has written, published or produced. In 1984 RCA hired Wright as a talent manager, and at the age of 25, he was one of the youngest executives at a major label. He will talk about the business of music and will listen to music "hopefuls," giving students advice on how to market themselves.
