PRINTING SERVICES BREAKS GROUND FOR FACILITIES EXPANSION

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - University of Arkansas Printing Services will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony at 9:30, June 25 at the facility’s location on 1580 W. Mitchell St. just west of Stadium Drive. The groundbreaking will celebrate last phase of a $3.3 million equipment and facility expansion.

This final phase of the project will be to add 10,000 square feet of production and warehouse space and is expected to have several benefits to the campus community.

In addition to allowing an increased volume of projects the expansion will have additional benefits that will streamline production.

"We will now have our paper warehouse on-site. It is presently off-campus making it necessary to make several trips per day in our delivery truck to pick up paper for upcoming jobs," said Teresa Hatcher, customer relations manager for Printing Services.

"Also, it will allow us to put back into production some equipment that we have in storage. We placed this equipment in storage to make room for our new 5-color press and new folding and cutting systems."
