Research Center to Hold Quarterly Business Forecast Breakfast

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, is partnering with the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce to host the Quarterly Business Analysis breakfast, open to the public.

WHEN:  6:45 a.m. to 7:50 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2005

WHERE: Holiday Inn City Center, 700 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith

SPEAKER: Jeff Collins, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, will present a 30-minute program that provides statistical highlights for the first quarter of 2005, key economic trends, and short- and long-term issues facing the local and state economy. In addition, there will be a discussion of recent studies being conducted by the center, specifically related to the Northwest Arkansas economy.

COST: Because there are no commercial sponsors, the cost for the Quarterly Business Analysis program and breakfast is $13, payable at the door. Those who wish to see the program without partaking of breakfast can attend free, depending on space. Space is limited, and places can be reserved by calling (479) 575-4151 or by e-mailing cberinfo@cavern.uark.edu. The program will last for approximately 50 minutes, including time for questions and answers.
