Schedule, Security and Parking Information for 2008 Commencement
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas and most of its colleges and schools will hold commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10. The University of Arkansas School of Law commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 17.
All-University Commencement Schedule, Saturday, May 10
7:30 a.m. Bud Walton Arena doors open
- Public parking is available in lots 44, 56, 72, 73, 73A and the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. A map of these lots can be found at http://parking.uark.edu/commencement.pdf.

Guests must use the south entrance and be seated in the south section above the main floor. Guests requiring accommodation can be dropped off at the South entrance.

Due to increased security on campus, each person entering Bud Walton Arena will be required to pass through a security checkpoint. Cameras and personal items will be checked. Please allow extra time for this preventative measure. Please do not bring backpacks or baggage. These items must be left at the entrance.
8 a.m. Degree candidates and faculty assemble at Bud Walton Arena as follows:

Undergraduate degree candidates on the lawn outside the South entrance and faculty in the lower-level corridor on the south side of the arena.

Graduate degree candidates and dissertation directors of doctoral candidates in the truck tunnel under the Harrod (east) entrance.
8:45 a.m. All-University Commencement begins

Following the ceremony all those attending will be asked to leave the building using the exits on the east or west sides of the arena. Those who need to use the elevator will be directed to the south side exit.

Due to security concerns, people attending the following ceremonies should be prepared to have cameras and personal items checked before they enter. Please allow extra time for this preventative measure. Backpacks or baggage may not be brought into the buildings.
Sam M. Walton College of Business, 12:30 p.m., Barnhill Arena
- Public parking is available in lots 44, 56, 72, 73, 73A and the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. A map of these lots can be found at http://parking.uark.edu/commencement.pdf.

Graduates and faculty will assemble for procession at 11:30 a.m. Bachelor of Science in international business, accounting, economics, finance and information systems majors assemble in the south corridor. General business, management, marketing and logistics majors assemble in the north corridor. Graduate students assemble in the west corridor.
Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, 1 p.m., Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center
- Public parking is available at the Whitaker Center.

Graduates and faculty will assemble for procession at 12:30 p.m. in the graduate robing room.
School of Architecture, 1 p.m., Arkansas Union Ballroom

Ceremony and Speaker, Saturday, May 17
School of Law, 2 p.m. Saturday, Fayetteville Town Center
- Public parking is available on and around the downtown Fayetteville Square.
- Graduates and faculty will assemble for procession at 1:15 p.m. Faculty will meet in the lobby of the Town Center; graduates will meet in the hallway behind the auditorium.
