Second Man To Walk On Moon - Buzz Aldrin - To Speak At University Of Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On July 20, 1969, Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon. On Tuesday, April 30, he will walk into the University of Arkansas Reynolds Center to deliver the Rockefeller Distinguished Lecture.
Aldrin’s presentation will begin at 8 p.m., and it is free and open to the public. In addition, Aldrin will speak to business and engineering students from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Bell Engineering Center.
Aldrin and Neil Armstrong made history and were awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, but the Gemini and Apollo astronaut doesn’t live in the past. He is a futurist and advocate of privatization, space tourism and reusable rockets. He has been called "the man who wants to send you into space" and the "Father of Space Tourism."
