STUDENT FOUND DECEASED IN VEHICLE ON UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS CAMPUS
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — At 1:44 a.m. this morning, University of Arkansas police officers responded to a welfare concern in Lot 71, at the corner of Dickson and Duncan Streets. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased, 45-year-old male student of the University inside a parked vehicle.
The deceased has been identified as Michael R. Morgan, known to friends as "Buffalo" Morgan. According to Lt. Gary Crain of the UA Police Department, Morgan was a student in the department of sociology and criminal justice and had worked for the student newspaper, The Arkansas Traveler.
University police investigators, along with investigators of the Arkansas State Police and Washington County Sheriff’s Departments, are investigating the incident. However, there does not appear to be any facts or circumstances indicating a criminal act was committed.
Cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner in Little Rock. Lt. Crain indicates that information may be several days or weeks in coming
