FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Two graduate students from the University of Arkansas programs in creative writing will read from their work at 8 p.m., Feb. 12, in Giffels Auditorium on the UA campus.
Sandy Longhorn is an MFA candidate in poetry at the University of Arkansas, where she has taught composition, literature and creative writing courses. She is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict and spent six years working in bookselling and publishing before returning to graduate school. Her poetry has appeared in "Black Warrior Review," "The Cream City Review," "Gulf Stream, Natural Bridge," "River Styx," "Shenandoah, Smartish Pace," and "Sonora Review."

Allison Wolcott is an MFA candidate in fiction at the University of Arkansas, where she was awarded a Walton fellowship for the 2002-2003 school year. Wolcott earned her BA in French Literature at New York University and has a background in classical ballet. Her short fiction has appeared in "Shenandoah," "The Hogtown Creek Review," and "The Beloit Fiction Journal."
The reading is free, and all members of the public are invited to attend.
