TWO MORE BOMB THREATS PHONED IN THIS MORNING; UAPD REQUESTS HELP OF LOCAL NEWS MEDIA

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. --- University of Arkansas Police reported this morning that two more bomb threats targeting the UA campus were phoned in to local news media outlets around 9 a.m. this morning.

As a result, UAPD is requesting that all local news media prepare immediately to make recordings of incoming calls and set up *69 in order to fix the location of such calls, should threats be directed to other media outlets. These recordings will enable police to match any new calls to those which were recorded during Thursday’s bomb threats.

According to UAPD Lieutenant Gary Crain, the two outlets receiving calls this morning were Arkansas’ NBC-TV 24/51 and Cumulus Broadcasting Inc., both in Fayetteville.

UAPD and other police agencies are investigating today’s calls.
