U of A Takes Proactive Steps To Assist Health Department Notify Students And Public About Local Hepatitis-A Alert

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Attention Students and General Public -- If you ate or drank anything at the U.S. Pizza Co., located on Dickson Street, on Wednesday, April 12, Thursday, April 13, or Saturday, April 15 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., contact the Washington County Health Department immediately. You may have been exposed to Hepatitis A and should receive immune globulin this week.

If you ate or drank anything at U.S. Pizza Co. on Wednesday, April 12, you must receive the immune globulin no later than Wednesday, April 26. If you ate anything at this location on Thursday, April 13, you must receive the immune globulin no later than Thursday, April 27.ðuFor those who ate there Saturday, April 15, you must receive the immune globulin no later than Friday, April 28.

The immune globulin is an injection given at the Washington County Health Department free of charge. The injection will be offered between the hours of 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24 and on Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Razorback Transit Red Route is providing transportation. It departs for the Washington County Health Department from the Intermodal Transit Facility at the following times:

8:30 a.m., arriving 9:22 a.m.

9:45 a.m., arriving10:37 a.m.

11:45 a.m., arriving 12:37 p.m.

1:00 p.m., arriving 1:52 p.m.

2:15 p.m., arriving 3:07 p.m.

3:30 p.m., arriving 4:22 p.m.
