UA FACULTY MEMBER NAMED TO COMMUNITY AND JUSTICE BOARD

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Catherine Roland, UA associate professor of counselor education, has been named to the regional board for the National Conference for Community and Justice, Northwest Arkansas Region.

"I’m excited about being appointed to the board because, in addition to my work in areas of diversity and mental health/family counseling, I have a long-standing and avid interest in all issues of social justice," Roland said. "I am especially concerned with those areas that can help determine the quality of life for individuals, children and families in our region."

Roland is editor of Adultspan, the journal of the Association for Adult Development and Aging, American Counseling Association. The journal publishes information on research, theory, and practice about development through young, middle, and older adulthood. She is past president of the association.
