UA S.I.F.E. Students Offer Business Boot Camp for Entrepreneurial Women

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Students In Free Enterprise (S.I.F.E.) in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas will sponsor Business Boot Camp, a day-long, entrepreneurial education program for women from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 25.

The program, held in the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development, will be facilitated by local entrepreneurs and business professionals.

Business Boot Camp is designed to teach women the essentials of entrepreneurship, including developing a business plan, accounting concepts, and the use of the Internet in promoting a start-up business. The program, which includes daycare and lunch, is free and is open to all women in the Northwest Arkansas community. Registration will take place at the door. Free parking is available in the resident reserve parking area behind Yocum Residence Hall.

The participating entrepreneurs include:

. Jami Hobbie, former buyer, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and president, Northwest Arkansas Vendors

. Robert Woods, credit analyst, Arvest Bank, Bentonville

. Gail Stoops, local artist, Fayetteville, and host of TV show Make Your Mark: Painting with Gail Stoops, on Jones Television. 
 
. Jeremy Webb, co-Founder of IFWORLD, which was named Northwest Arkansas Business of the Year in 2002 (Webb was also named the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999.)
 
. Andrea Fournet, owner and instructor, Arkansas Yoga Center
 
. Kevin Rose, training coordinator, University of Arkansas Small Business Center
