UA SOLAR BOAT TEAM WINS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.BOAT DEMONSTRATION TO TAKE PLACE TUESDAY AT LAKE WEDINGTON

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - BOSS H2OG, the solar-powered boat developed by University of Arkansas engineering students is not only back from the world championship Solar Splash Competition, but came back with championship title.

Members of the student team and their faculty advisors have arranged for a demonstration for media at 10:30, Tuesday, July 9 at Lake Wedington.

This should be a great visual. We hope to have a second boat available to take photographers/videographers out on the lake to capture action photos of the solar boat. Team members will also be available for interviews. A more in-depth release will be available on Tuesday.

The Solar Splash Competition is sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Solar Energy Division. It is held at a different location each year. The website is: http://www.solarsplash.com/.
