University of Arkansas Family Weekend Kicks Off Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Since 1998 the University of Arkansas Family Weekend program has united thousands of Razorback students, parents, alumni, staff and guests on campus for a weekend of family reunions, university traditions and Razorback pride. The central activity for this year's Family Weekend is the University of North Texas vs. Arkansas football game, being held Saturday, Sept. 29. Other special events include Friday Night Live, a reception hosted by the Parent Partnership Association and the Family Weekend Tailgate Party.

“This year we are expecting more than 900 parents and guests to join their students on campus for Family Weekend,” said Quincy Spencer, associate director of First Year Experience. “We have a lot of fun activities planned for the families coming to campus including a brunch on Sunday.”
