University of Arkansas Global Campus, Chamber to Host Debate Between Mayoral Candidates
FAYETTEVILLE, AR. – The University of Arkansas Global Campus and the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will host a debate between the two run-off candidates in the Fayetteville mayoral election. This event will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at the Center for Continuing Education at 2 E. Center St. on the downtown Fayetteville square.
The candidates in the run-off election are incumbent Mayor Dan Coody and Alderman Lioneld Jordan.
This will be in a traditional debate format, with rebuttals, moderated by former state legislator Brenda Gullett. The debate questions will focus on city issues. The purpose of the debate is to allow the community to hear more from the candidates in the run-off election that will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Early voting begins Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Washington County Clerk’s Office.
This event is open to the public.
The public is invited to send suggested questions and topics for debate to the Fayetteville Chamber. The deadline to submit a question or topic for the debate is Wednesday, Nov. 13.
