University of Arkansas to Dedicate Ralph E. Martin of Chemical Engineering

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas will officially dedicate the Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineering at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, in the Bell Engineering Center Atrium.  Participants in the program will include Chancellor John A. White; Ashok Saxena, dean of the College of Engineering; Tom Spicer, head of the department; and Amy Seamans, chemical engineering student.  All faculty, staff and students, as well as the press, are invited to come and celebrate.

Ralph Martin has made a gift of more than $5 million to endow the department of chemical engineering.  This gift was recently matched by $4.25 million from Matching Gift Program, creating a total endowment of $9.25 million. 

The dedication will be held in the atrium of the Bell Engineering Center, located at 800 Dickson Street. An audio mult-box will be available for electronic media.

Parking is available in the parking deck next to the Arkansas Union.
