University United Way Victory Celebration
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Members of the campus community who contributed to this year’s University United Way campaign will be celebrating another successful fundraiser.
What: University United Way Victory Celebration
When: 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 28
Where: Arkansas Union Connections Lounge
Speakers: There will be informal comments by Chancellor John White, campaign co-chairs Glenda Rufer and Mike Johnson, and others.
This year’s campaign came in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, but apparently there was no competition between the relief effort for hurricane victims and the local United Way: the campus community contributed generously to both. The University United Way campaign did more than meet its goal of $130,000. How much more was raised will be revealed during the ceremony.
Photo and interview opportunities will take place during and after the celebration.
Refreshments will be served.
