Winning Photographs from Three Students

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Three students from Michael Peven’s spring 2007 semester digital photography class in the art department at the University of Arkansas have been selected as finalists in the 27th Annual Student Photography Contest sponsored by Nikon USA. Art majors Christina Longinotti, Gwen Krueger and Katie Keck will all have their images reproduced in the Best of College Photography Annual 2007 published by Photographers Forum magazine. Their work was chosen from a selection of more than 28,000 photographic entries from student photographers. Judges for this year’s contest were Steve LaVoie of the Art Center College of Design, Karen Sinsheimer, curator of photography at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and Armando Flores from Nikon USA.

Peven is a professor in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
