Walton College to Hold IT Day for Parents and Educators
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Information Technology Research Institute and the department of information systems in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas are sponsoring IT Day for Parents and Educators.
The program, designed for parents, educators, teachers and counselors, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Willard J. Walker Hall, seminar room 203. Dinner from Gullet’s Gourmet will be served. For more information, or to RSVP, call 479-575-4261 or e-mail cpine@walton.uark.edu.
“We are very excited to be able to present such a program for parents and educators,” said Moez Limayen, chair of the information systems department. “Despite the economy, we want to reinforce that IT jobs are still hot, and that opportunities in the high growth tech sector are plentiful, and not being shipped overseas.”
