2010 College of Engineering Alumni Awards Banquet

The College of Engineering recently hosted the 2010 Engineering Alumni Awards Banquet. The event brought together alumni from across the country to celebrate the achievements of our 2010 Hall of Fame awardee, our three Distinguished Alumni awardees, and four Young Alumni awardees.

The 2010 Hall of Fame Award was presented to Julian C. Stewart (BSCE ’57).

The 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award was presented to G. Lowrance Hodge (BSIE ’61; MS ‘64), L. Lee Johns Lane (BSChE ’62; MS ’74; PhD ’76) and Kelly C. Overman (BSEE ’69; MS ’75).

The 2010 Young Alumni Award was presented to Natalie Becknell (BSCE ’03; MS ‘05), Bradley Nolan Gentry (BSEE ’98; MS ‘00), Denese Jackson (BSChe ’90) and Marcelo Schupbach (BSEE ’97; MS ’00; PhD ’04).

The College of Engineering Alumni Awards Banquet is held each year in April in Northwest Arkansas.

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
