Two German Students Selected as Fulbright Teaching Award Winners
Two University of Arkansas seniors studying German, Jacquelynn Bensing and Lori Neumeier, have been named recipients of the Fulbright Award for Teaching. This is a competitive program that employs recent graduates as teachers in German secondary schools; Bensing and Neumeier were among only 70 students selected in a nationwide competition.
The program is conducted by the Fulbright Commission in close cooperation with the Pädagogische Austauschdienst (Pedagogical Exchange Service) in Bonn. Bensing is majoring in both German and Spanish and is the daughter of Richard and Susan Bensing. Neumeier studies German and English and is the daughter of Patty and Bernard Neumeier.
