Doctoral candidate Randy Francisco Espinal Cabrera has been selected to participate in the Fulbright Workshop on Effective University Teaching in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Fields, at Harvard University June 27 to July 3.

Espinal Cabrera is from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and has a degree in chemistry from University Autonoma of Santo Domingo. His research involves the development of a microfluidic system coupled to microdialysis for the pre-concentration, detection and quantitation of cytokines bioanalytical chemistry under the direction of Professor Julie Stenken.

His selection as a Fulbright Grantee was by the Western Hemisphere Fulbright Program at the U.S. Department of State in coordination with LASPAU Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas.

LASPAU is a nonprofit organization affiliated with Harvard University and governed by an independent, inter-American board of trustee with the mission of providing access to global education opportunities, stimulating knowledge generation and transfer, and promoting intercultural understanding throughout the Americas.
