King’s lecture series was sponsored by the College Program for Chemical Engineering of Materials and Energetics and covered by local TV and newspapers reporters in Zacatecas Province, Mexico. Four lectures on the fundamentals of critical fluids in processing were followed by lectures focused on the topics of using compressed fluids such as carbon dioxide and water in environmental remediation, mining of metals, Mexican agriculture, and archeological artifact restoration.

On Oct. 25, King will also deliver the keynote lecture titled “Integration of CO2 Production and Capture Platforms with Critical Fluid Technology” at the 60th Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference (CSChE2010) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. His lecture is part of the multi-session symposia on CO2 capture and sequestration.
