The College of Engineering at the University of Florida recently recognized John A. White, Distinguished Professor of industrial engineering and chancellor emeritus of the University of Arkansas, for his service as an academic administrator.

The Gator Engineering Leadership Award was presented to White for applying his engineering education and experience to service in higher education, and for providing leadership in the advancement of diversity and engineering research. The award is designed to honor engineering graduates who have demonstrated leadership in innovation, education, law, medicine, industry or public policy.
