Find Research and Grant Money With the SPIN/SMARTS Service
The University of Arkansas makes available to all faculty and staff two services to search for government, private and nonprofit funding opportunities. These online services, called SPIN/SMARTS, have 7,000-plus funding opportunities.
SPIN/SMARTS can be used for:
- Ad-hoc searches, known as SPIN service, or
- Request an account allowing you to create customized searches, known as SMARTS service, to be sent to your e-mail each day.
In order to do an ad-hoc search, you must use a computer located on the premises of the University of Arkansas. This will not work from home.
Open your browser and go to this website: http://infoed.uark.edu/. Click on the "SPIN" tab on the left side of the screen. A window will pop up. Enter your search criteria on this page.
To receive e-mails through the SMARTS service, contact the office of research support and sponsored programs to get your account set up for the SMARTS service.
