Arkansas Football Announces Special Dates

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas department of Intercollegiate athletics has released its lineup of special dates for the 2011 Razorback Football season. Additional details, including kickoff time and network television information for each game, will be released at a later date.

Arkansas opens the 2011 campaign against Missouri State on Sept. 3 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The game will be Faculty/Staff Day, as the Razorbacks recognize the contributions of the university community.

Family Day is slated for two weeks later against Troy on Sept. 17 as part of the University of Arkansas’ Family Weekend on campus. Family Weekend packages include a ticket to the game as well as admission to other campus activities. Homecoming has been set for Nov. 5 against South Carolina. The game against the Gamecocks will be the 90th Homecoming contest in school history. The Razorbacks are 53-32-4 in the previous 89 games. Arkansas has won its last five Homecoming games, including a 49-14 victory over Vanderbilt last season. Senior Day will be celebrated Nov. 12 when Arkansas concludes its on-campus schedule by hosting Tennessee. The Razorbacks will take on the Volunteers in Fayetteville for the first time since Arkansas defeated Tennessee 31-14 in front of a capacity crowd and played host to ESPN’s College GameDay in 2006.
