'Art plus Craft' Enrichment Classes Offered at the Global Campus Facility in Rogers

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is now open for nine classes that will teach students how to create unique jewelry, arrange flowers, paint with watercolor, and use relief printmaking techniques at the University of Arkansas Global Campus facility in Rogers in May and June.

The “Art + Craft” series will bring local experts to share their artistry and design secrets in the non-credit, personal enrichment courses offered at 3300 Market St., Suite 402, in Pinnacle Hills, Rogers.

The courses, the dates, and costs are:

  • “Bits, Baubles & Findings,” (jewelry soldering) 5:30-7:30 p.m. five Mondays, May 2-30, $149.
  • “Tibetan-Inspired Jewelry,” 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, $39
  • “Block Party,” (printmaking) 6-8 p.m. five Tuesdays, May 3-31, $149.
  • “Supermarket Bouquet,” 6-7 p.m. Monday, May 9, $39.
  • “Pushing Petals,” (extensive floral design) 6-7 p.m. four Mondays, May 16-June 6, $89.
  • “Clay, Kilns & Torches,” (metal clay jewelry) 6-9 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, May 25-26 or June 22-23, $149.
  • “It’s a Wrap!” (jewelry) 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, May 27 or June 24, $69.
  • “Beads on a String,” 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, $39.
  • “wa'ter·col'or, adj.,” (painting) 2-4 p.m. Thursday, June 16, $29.

These courses are designed for beginning students and individuals who want to enhance their existing skills. At the end of each class, students take home the floral arrangements, jewelry and art that they have created.
