Eleanor Mann School of Nursing Joins Online Community

The Eleanor Mann School of Nursing at the University of Arkansas has joined Nurses Lounge, an online professional network for nurses. The site provides nurses with an interactive platform for professional networking with their peers in clinical roles, academia and associations.

The Eleanor Mann School of Nursing will use the service to share information, including job openings, among its students, faculty, staff and alumni.

To become a member of the University of Arkansas group at Nurses Lounge, visit www.nurseslounge.com.

According to Nurses Lounge, the service offers benefits over other social media platforms because it concentrates on professional aspects of nursing only and allows local administrators to pre-authorize posts to the network. In the next three to four months, Nurses Lounge expects to have more than 80 percent of the nearly 700 schools that offer bachelor's degrees in nursing participating on the network.

Nurses Lounge also operates 73 metro/state lounges that aggregate all of the professional nursing news, events and employment opportunities within that geographic region.
