Architect Monica Ponce de Leon to Discuss "Approximations" in April 13 Lecture

This acrylic installation at the Georgia Institute of Technology was designed in 2005 by Office dA of Boston. The project explored how digital fabrication represents a substantial change from conventional methods of mass production where repetition was the basis of economy. The mold used to cast acrylic blocks was fabricated with 10 interchangeable pieces whose position and orientation could be varied to create differentiation. (Image courtesy Office dA)
