FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Headliners Concert Committee presents country music star Blake Shelton in concert on Saturday, April 30, in Barnhill Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m.
This concert is free to University of Arkansas students, and tickets for the general public are available for $29.50 each. The show is all general admission, so there are no assigned seats. All tickets are available now.
Students can find instructions on how to reserve tickets at the student activities website at http://osa.uark.edu/, where they will also find a link to the Walton Arts Center website to make reservations.
“Students will use an online reservation system through the Walton Arts Center to reserve their free tickets for the show,” said Mary Coonley, director of student activities. “They will be able to pick up their tickets on campus.”
Students who reserved tickets can pick them up on Monday, April 25, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Arkansas Union Living Room Lounge, and on Tuesday, April 26, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge. Students must have their valid student ID to pick up their tickets.
Tickets for the general public will be sold for $29.50 each through the Walton Arts Center website beginning today.
This past year, Blake Shelton was named the Country Music Association’s "Male Vocalist of the Year," scored three consecutive No. 1 singles, performed at sold-out shows on his first headlining tour, and had his first No. 1 album, All About Tonight. This month his new single Honey Bee sold over 138,000 digital copies in its debut week, a feat unmatched by any country male soloist to date. Shelton will also be a coach on NBC's The Voice, which premieres April 26. His latest CD, Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton, debuted in the Top 10 on the Country Charts.
The Headliner Concerts Committee is a student-led organization created by the Associated Student Government and approved by the university’s student body to bring major name acts to the University of Arkansas campus. Past concerts include John Mayer, Foo Fighters, Dierks Bentley and Snoop Dogg.
