Journalism Students Receive Scholarships

The Walter J. Lemke department of journalism held its annual Scholarship Awards Reception, Wednesday, April 6, at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House. More than 100 students, family, friends, donors, faculty and guests attended the event, which was co-hosted by the journalism department and the Lemke Alumni Society.

The following students were awarded approximately $70,000 in scholarship monies from the various scholarships offered through the journalism department by its generous benefactors:

All donated bikes will be given to Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that will refurbish your bike and return it to the U of A campus to be gifted to a student in need. Hundreds of students have already benefited.
