Dalai Lama Events Posted on YouTube

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Two events His Holiness the Dalai Lama participated in at the University of Arkansas on May 11 can now be seen in their entirety on You Tube.

The panel discussion “Turning Swords into Ploughshares: The Many Paths of Nonviolence” featured the Dalai Lama, Sister Helen Prejean and Vincent Harding, and the Dalai Lama also presented the afternoon keynote address “Nonviolence in the New Century: The Way Forward.”

UATV will broadcast the keynote address at 7 p.m. and the panel discussion at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, May 16-20. UATV can be found on Cox digital channel 214 in Northwest Arkansas, on campus channel 22 and online worldwide at uatvonline.net.

“Throughout the summer, we plan to air both events, but it will be a bit more sporadic,” said Joe Delnero, UATV station manager.

An audio file will be transcribed of both events and should be available by the end of this week. The office of university relations will send out more information on the transcripts when they become available.
