Walmart Foundation awards 'See Change' $40,000

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. See Change, the region's first nonprofit management certificate program, received a $40,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation. The grant will, in part, underwrite the training costs of the See Change program's second training cycle to start in October 2011. See Change received earlier this year a grant from the Care Foundation Inc. for support of the program's training efforts.

In March 2011, See Change launched its first six-month, innovative and high-quality program that offers integrated training and management certification for middle and senior level nonprofit managers. The instructional team consists of Bruce Johanson of the Johanson Group, Denise McNerney of iBossWell, Inc. and Blake Woolsey of Mitchell Communications. Margaret Reid, professor of political science at the University of Arkansas, is the See Change program director.
