Quarterly Business Analysis Breakfast Set

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas is partnering with the Northwest Arkansas Chambers of Commerce to host a Quarterly Business Analysis breakfast on Friday, Sept. 16. The breakfast event will be held at 6:45 a.m. at the Shewmaker Center on the campus of Northwest Arkansas Community College at 1 College Drive, Bentonville, Ark. 72712. The program and breakfast is $35. Preregistration is required and the deadline for reservations is by Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Reservations can be made online for the breakfast at http://cber.uark.edu/ or by calling 479-575-4151. The program will last for approximately 60 minutes including time for question and answer.

Kathy Deck, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, will present a program that provides statistical highlights from the second and third quarters of 2011, key economic trends, short- and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy, and key insights from the recent meeting of the National Association of Business Economics.

“At the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012, the health of the national economy matters more than ever for the local success of the Northwest Arkansas region. Our unique mix of industries means that our community is poised to take advantage of uneven macroeconomic trends,” Deck said.

The primary purpose of the Quarterly Business Analysis program is to build networks of leaders from business, academic and governmental sectors in the region. The goal is solid and sustainable economic development in Arkansas.

“The Quarterly Business Analysis program is designed to help our community leaders make better informed decisions,” Deck said.
