The University of Arkansas will break ground on the $27.1 million renovation and expansion of historic Ozark Hall at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30. Upon completion, Ozark Hall will provide a permanent home for the department of geosciences in Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, the university’s Graduate School and International Education, and the Honors College.

Speakers will include Chancellor G. David Gearhart; Provost Sharon Gaber; Katherine Knierim, a graduate student in environmental dynamics/geosciences; and Kikko Haydar, an honors kinesiology student and walk-on member of the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team.

The groundbreaking will take place in the Ozark Hall Courtyard on the west side of the building. All are encouraged to attend.

The renovation and expansion of Ozark Hall is one of three major construction projects on campus designed to provide more and better academic space to serve the growing student population.
