ALPFA Town Hall Meeting and Panel Discussion Invitation

The student chapter of the Association of Latino Professional in Finance and Accounting would like to invite the University of Arkansas student body to attend the Town Hall meeting and panel discussion today, Sept. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Executive Development Auditorium 120 at the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College of Business.

The Town Hall panelists will include Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, 47th District of California; Sharon Orlopp, Wal-Mart’s global chief diversity officer; Manny Espinoza, chief executive officer of ALPFA; Javier Reyes, professor of economics in the Sam M. Walton College of Business; and Rafael Jimeno, a professor of political scientist in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. The panel discussion will be moderated by Doug Thompson, editorial page editor for Northwest Arkansas Newspapers. The discussion will focus on the “The Current State of Latino Leadership in Corporate America and Public Office.”

The Town Hall meeting will also stream live.

Participants will be able to ask questions to the panelists via the webcast and Twitter. The hash-tag for Twitter is #alpfainstitute.

The Association of Latino Professional in Finance and Accounting is a registered student organization seeking to expand career opportunities by connecting students in all business related fields with the appropriate resources. The chapter's objective is to provide student members with the opportunity to network with professionals, and acquire leadership experience through a series of workshops, mentorship programs and community engagement opportunities. They strive to advance, connect and empower the University of Arkansas student body.
