Workshop Helps Employers with Legal Concerns in Employee, Workplace Issues

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is now open for a workshop to help employers navigate legal challenges while dealing with employee and workplace issues.

The University of Arkansas Global Campus and the law firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C., of Springdale, will partner to offer “Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll” from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at the Global Campus facility in Rogers, 3300 Market St., Suite 402, Pinnacle Center One.

J. Bruce Cross, a director at the law firm, will explain what employers can and cannot do in coping with such potentially costly legal workplace issues as workplace romances, social networking and employee appearance. He will also explore the creation of policies that can protect an employer from legal action.

Participants can earn two hours of general certification credit from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
