'What Veteran's Day Means to Me' Photography Contest

University Programs invites students, faculty and staff to submit photographs for the Veteran’s Photography contest. Participants are asked to submit no more than five photos that exhibit “What Veteran’s Day means to me.” Photos must be submitted by 5 p.m., Oct. 21, 2011, to the Office of Student Activities (Union A-665). The photos will be displayed at the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery from November 1-23.

Photos must be between 4x6 and 8x10. Photos may be framed but is not required.

Photos may be black and white or color

Participants will be broken down into the following categories: Students and Faculty/Staff

Prizes will be given to winners in the following categories:

  • First and Second Student (decided by judges)
  • First and Second Faculty/ Staff (decided by judges)
  • People’s Choice (decided by votes given by the gallery attendees)

Winners will be announced at the reception on Nov. 16, 2011 from 5:30-7:30p.m.

The following information must be provided with each photo,

  • Name of Participant
  • Contact information
  • University ID number
  • If participants would like their picture back
  • Brief explanation of why this picture represents Veteran’s Day
