Paid Research Study for Survivors of Natural Disasters
The Intervention Sciences Laboratory in the Psychology Department at the University of Arkansas is currently conducting a research study designed to increase researchers' understanding of emotional reactions following stressful life events.
The laboratory is currently recruiting both males and females who have experienced a stressful natural disaster, such as tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, and hurricanes. The study involves one visit to the laboratory that takes between 3 1/2 and 4 hours to complete. During this laboratory visit, participants will complete a number of different tasks, including completing an interview related to the natural disaster event, writing about the stressful natural disaster, and completing a number of questionnaires. Participants will also be asked to watch two short videos.
