The Miss University of Arkansas Scholarship Pageant will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, in the Verizon Ballroom in the Arkansas Union.

Fourteen contestants will represent different organizations on campus, and the winner will represent the university at next summer's Miss Arkansas pageant in Hot Springs.

Throughout the year, the reigning Miss University of Arkansas serves as a spokesperson and ambassador for the university. She serves the campus and the state through community service projects, and she earns scholarship support to further her education.

The community is invited to attend this year's pageant. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
