You Can Pay by Phone, Not with Plastic, in Two Garages and One Lot

Drivers who want to park in the Stadium Drive or Garland Avenue Parking Facilities are no longer able to pay with a credit card. The same goes for Lot 67 at the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building. They can still use Razorbucks, coins or bills, but the parking machines do not give change.

There is a new way to “charge it” for these parking spots, however. It’s called Parkmobile, and it lets a driver or passenger use a cell phone to pay for a parking space. All a parking customer needs to do is create an online account on Parkmobile by going to http://us.parkmobile.com/

The Parkmobile system allows people to pay at these three locations using their cell phone without having to go to a meter. There’s an added plus: After customers leave their vehicle, they will receive an email message 15 minutes before their time is up, reminding them their meter is about to expire. They can add more time to the meter from their phone without having to go back to the meter. There is a 35-cent fee for each transaction in addition to the parking fee when using Parkmobile.

Credit cards can still be used to pay for parking at the Harmon Avenue Garage. Please contact Transit and Parking at parking@uark.edu or by calling 575-7929 if you have questions about the Parkmobile system.
