New Phishing Scam: Protect Your Account Information

This week, UARK users reported two malicious phishing attempts from sources claiming to be from the University of Arkansas posing as technical support. The emails warn users that they must validate their UARK accounts by clicking on links embedded in the messages. The IT Services Security Team reminds you to never click on a link in an email if you are unsure of the source. IT Services will never ask you to validate your account and will never request account information in an email. Protect your UARK username and password as you would other valuables like your wallet or purse.

If you have replied to any of these messages, change your password immediately at http://passweb.uark.edu.
