Alumnus Returns to Discuss International Career with Students
University of Arkansas alumnus Brian Lee (B.A. German, economics, international relations, minor in European studies, 2008) with his driver in Pakistan for his job with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
Brian Lee, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in German, economics, international relations and a minor in European studies in 2008, had already had a successful international career before graduating from the University of Arkansas as a Congress-Bundestag Fellow, one of only 75 students selected in a national competition to spend a year studying, working, and interning at the Bundestag in Germany.
After graduating, he received a Fulbright Research Grant to study for his master's degree at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria. Lee is currently working in Islamabad, Pakistan for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to build and implement the Country Programme for 2010-2014.
On Monday, Jan. 23, at 11:30 a.m. in J.B. Hunt 234, he will speak with students as part of a brown bag lunch program to discuss his international career. The event is free and open to the public. Questions? Contact Kathleen Condray, German Section Head, at condray@uark.edu.
