Faculty Members Commend Long and Gearhart for Leadership

University of Arkansas faculty in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School and International Education and the College of Education and Health Professions have all passed resolutions supporting the recent actions of Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long.

The resolution read in part that the faculty members "commend” Long “for his courageous leadership in upholding the standards of integrity commensurate with the stature of the University of Arkansas.”

The College Council of the College of Education and Health Professions added Chancellor G. David Gearhart’s name to their resolution.

The Fulbright College resolution was passed  Thursday, April 12 at the regular meeting of the college faculty.

The Graduate Council unanimously approved its resolution Thursday, April 19 and the College of Education and Health Professions resolution was approved  Friday, April 20.
