Membership appreciation lunch 2011

The department of University Recreation will host the third annual Member Appreciation lunch on Tuesday, July 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the HPER Building, Gym 2. University of Arkansas students, faculty, staff and all other UREC members are welcome to attend. Hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, sides and drinks will be served. The first 50 attendees will receive a UREC reusable tote bag.

“This is an event we look forward to hosting each year,” said Jeremy Battjes, director of University Recreation. “We are excited to be able to express our gratitude to the University Recreation members.”

Door prizes including massages, fitness assessments and small group trainings will be drawn for at this event. Only current UREC members, as well as people who sign up for a membership at the event will be eligible to win a door prize.

Faculty and staff who purchase or renew an annual membership at this time will receive a 10 percent discount, as well as a UREC gift bag.

The event provides an opportunity to visit with UREC staff and members, tour the facility, and talk about what a UREC membership encompasses.

Iberia Bank and the Arkansas Alumni Association are cosponsors of this event.

The event is open to both UREC members and those interested in becoming a member.
