Blackboard Summer Showcase Demonstrations

IT Services is hosting several one-hour Blackboard demonstrations this summer for faculty and staff. Register to attend in person at http://its-training.uark.edu/list.php or participate online during a scheduled demonstration by going to http://tinyurl.com/bbsummer2012. The following demonstrations are scheduled in the afternoons throughout July and August.

Content Management: Add basic content to a course, such as PowerPoint presentations, documents, and a syllabus. Embed videos from YouTube without using HTML and get tips on organization and timed release of content.

Grade Center: Become familiar with Grade Center basics, such as basic and calculated columns, offline grading, and Grade Center organization.

Tests, Quizzes, and Assignments: Get information on options for collecting assignments and conducting exams and quizzes, as well as plagiarism detection and testing security.

Blackboard Collaborate: See a demonstration on how to use web conferencing to meet with others at a distance using audio/video, chat, and a shared whiteboard. Meetings using Blackboard Collaborate can also be recorded.

For a complete schedule of this year’s Blackboard Summer Showcase, see the IT Services Training Calendar at http://its-training.uark.edu/calendar/month.php.
