FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Professors, instructors and graduate and teaching assistants using classrooms maintained by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will have several opportunities to attend technology training. Four classes will be held Aug. 13-16 at 2 p.m. in Old Main’s Giffels Auditorium.

“The professors in Fulbright College are doing amazing work using the audio and visual technology in many of our classrooms,” said Robin Roberts, dean of the college. “We are fortunate to have leadership at the university who appreciate the edge such classrooms can give our faculty and students.”

The training sessions will begin with a brief group orientation on classroom technology within Fulbright College. An open house of classrooms for those interested in hands-on instruction will follow. The open house classrooms are similar to those found in Old Main, Memorial Hall, Chemistry Building, Science Building, Science Engineering Building, Kimpel Hall, Fine Arts Center and J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence.

The group orientation takes roughly 20 minutes, and the open house will run until 4 p.m. Those unavailable to attend the group training sessions may arrange for individual training in their classroom by contacting Fulbright College information technology services at smartm@uark.edu.
