Michael Davis of IT Services Recognized as Technical Rockstar

This month, Michael Davis, member of the IT Services VIEWS technical team, is being recognized for providing great technical support to a national audience.

Michael's support and interactions on the Dell TechCenter forum over the past year have earned him official Rockstar status from the Dell TechCenter team. He will be honored with an all-expense paid VIP trip to the Dell World conference in Austin, Texas, later this year.

As the Virtual Infrastructure Administrator for VIEWS, Michael deploys and serves as the architect for VMware and Citrix environments, providing server, desktop and application virtualization. Michael also assists in the administration of the Dell EqualLogic SAN, which provides storage for virtual environments as well as Gizmo, MyDocs, Exchange, SQL Server, and other university systems.

VIEWS, the Virtual Infrastructure and Enterprise Windows Systems team, is responsible for managing Windows-based servers as well as virtual servers, desktops, storage, and networks, for departments on campus.
